WHAT WE DO

• Provide a forum for individuals with diverse backgrounds who have a common interest in the quality of life, for people with visual impairments, to discuss current issues of great importance.

• Collect and distribute information to memeber organizations and individuals regarding legislative and other issues affecting indificuals who are blind or have low vision.

• Promote growth and awareness of member organizations.
• Refer individuals and organizations to resources and materials which may be helpful to people with visual impairments.

• Prepare and distribute a quarterly master Calendar and Nedwsletter of all events and other important information pertaining to visual impairment.

• Provide information, consultation, and analysis requested by governmental bodies concerning issues and policies related to the quality of life of individuals who are visually impaired.

• Sponsor, support, or oppose specific legislation or actions that affect the lives, rights, or opportunities of people who are blind or have low vision.
